A bit about
Rachel
Hi, I'm Rachel, an Australian mother of two neuro-spicy teenagers, a wife of 24 years, and a multi-passionate entrepreneur with a love for dogs (and tolerance for cats!). Integrity and positive contribution are my guiding principles, and I'm committed to supporting the planet through ethical practices, prioritizing "doing the right thing" over profit.

As a late-diagnosed ADHDer, my career journey has been varied – from hospitality and administration to gardening, lighting tech, and nutritional advising. Despite the diverse roles, my underlying passion has always been providing exceptional, customer-focused support, prioritizing client needs over profit.

Our family's move from a farm in Toodyay to Nollamara, intended to improve our children's education, unexpectedly led to significant stress and the discovery of their neurodivergence and my own ADHD. Navigating numerous appointments required a flexible, low-stress work environment with understanding clients.

Ultimately, my vision includes offering services like cleaning, laundry, gardening, and babysitting to ease the pressures of daily life for families.
Thanks to Facebook and referrals, I was fully booked within a month...
Tired of grueling commercial cleaning hours (4:30 am and 5:30 pm starts), I launched Bliss Housekeeping. Thanks to Facebook and referrals, I was fully booked within a month. This allowed me to balance work, support my family, and offer valuable, stress-free services both for me and my clients.

Having experienced firsthand the challenges of balancing young family life with limited income and the non-family-friendly work as a waitress while my husband worked as a postie, I'm driven to help other families find not only income-generating opportunities that allow them to be present and energetic for their children, free from stressful work environments but also supporting client’s family’s to achieve the same.

A bit about
Bliss at Home Helpers

After working for a couple of years as a commercial cleaner, I grew tired of 4.30am starts and 7.30pm finishes.
With a little help from Facebook and then many referrals, I was fully booked within about four weeks of starting my business. House cleaning whilst physically intensive, is a very rewarding role, knowing that you are providing relief for a busy parent, or home owner, taking pressure from their lives and allowing them to focus on what is most important to them.
It is a lovely stress free job, apart from having to manage the time and providing the service is excellent, I get to listen to stories and podcasts for hours and is there anything better than a good Before and After?
I loved the feeling of supporting busy families and offering more than a surface clean. I would do windows, make beds, wash sheets, cobweb outside and more. This was Bliss Housekeeping.
But with the high demand for my services, and being unable to clone myself, (much to my frustration!) I decided the only way to help people was to expand my services and hire and train my own cleaning team, so that I can support more families with the high standards, reliability, loyalty and attention to detail I am known for.
So, in February 2025 I began growing my team and Bliss at Home Helpers was born.

A Team That Understands Your Needs
At Bliss at Home Helpers, we understand the delicate balance of family life.
That’s why we’re especially proud to offer flexible work arrangements, particularly for mums returning to the workforce after raising their children. We recognize the importance of school activities, drop-offs, and pick-ups, and we make it our mission to create a work environment that supports these needs.
